The Early Career Program is designed to be a highly visible experience. Through a hands-on approach, you will learn various parts of our business and gain technical knowledge of our converting and mill operations. Graphic Packaging interns are assigned a mentor and have opportunities to network with other colleagues and team members in the organization. During your time in the program, you will lead individual and team projects and have an opportunity to make in-person presentations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Interns in our packaging facilities will have the opportunity to learn about our packaging converting process while supporting manufacturing, quality, safety and other important functions within our plants. Internship opportunities exist in the areas of:
Project, Process, Quality Control, Electrical, Mechanical, Continuous Improvement, Maintenance, Reliability, Instrumentation and Environmental Engineering.

- Interns and Co-op are a pipeline to our full time Leadership Development Program (LDP) LDP is designed to be a highly visible, 12-month leadership program designed to develop operational, business and leadership skills. The program provides fast-track industry experience through structured learning and a hands-on approach. Upon program graduation, LDPs are offered full time roles in areas like operations, sales, engineering, finance and supply chain.

- Your prior experiences must demonstrate initiative, intellectual curiosity, strong problemsolving skills, success managing multiple priorities, and working well in a team under deadline pressure.
- Prior experience may include internships, co-op assignments, summer jobs, volunteer work, leadership roles in student or college-affiliated organizations, and/or full-time or part-time positions. Work experience related to field of study is desirable.
- Seeking an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Packaging, Mechanical Engineering or any other technical related degree.
- Advanced Degree considered but not required.
- Generally, your schedule is an 8-hour M-F assignment; however, internship and co-op experience might involve extracurricular, “get out in the world” activity. You are willing to work alternate schedules occasionally, when it gets the job done. This could be early mornings, nights, and/or weekends.
- Punctuality is key – it is a display of respect for your teammates and clients, and it indicates your respect for what you do.
- You’ll occasionally have overnight travel that could include flying or driving.
- Frequent, bending, stooping, squatting, as well as frequent movement throughout the facility for extended periods of time up to 8-hour.
- Occasional Lifting up to 20 lbs.
- Reading computer screen or other electronic devices.
- Use of various office, hand tools or electrical equipment.
- Employee is required to wear steel toe shoes, safety glasses and hearing protecting when in the manufacturing area.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to airborne particles and times of increased heat and humidity.
- The noise level in the immediate work environment is normally quiet, however requires exposure to a noisy manufacturing environment.
