Role Description

Position:

Head of Plantation (Cacao)

Location:

Central Java

This is a full-time on-site role as the Head of Plantation at Bumibaru in Central Java, Indonesia. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of land restoration projects, managing plantation activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the success of Cacao crop and timber growth initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in plantation management, with a focus on cacao or other cash crops.
  • Should have experience managing large-scale plantations for about 100 hectares or more.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Plantation Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to lead a diverse workforce.
  • Proven track record in yield optimization, financial management, and cost control in an agricultural setting.
  • Deep understanding of cacao cultivation practices, including post-harvest processes, quality control, and sustainability.
  • Experience with sustainable farming practices and familiarity with national and international certification standards.
  • Proficiency in modern agricultural technologies and data-driven decision-making tools.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to plantation management.
