Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Bar Leader at BAKED. Indonesia in Badung. The Bar Leader will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day bar operations, managing inventory, developing new drink recipes, providing excellent customer service, and training and supervising bar staff. They will ensure that the bar area is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.

What You’ll Do

As a Barista Leader, you will:

  • Lead by example – inspire, mentor, and motivate the barista team to maintain the highest standards of coffee excellence and customer service.
  • R&R and consistency control – ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of all equipment, implement best practices, and monitor the quality and consistency of every cup served.
  • Drive performance – push for operational efficiency and ensure all noses are pointed in the same direction, from the smallest detail to the bigger picture.
  • Set the standard – be the “heavy hitter” who ensures quality and consistency in every aspect of our coffee production, from brewing techniques to presentation.
  • Develop new drink recipes – collaborate to create exciting and innovative beverages that align with our brand’s values and standards.
  • Implement training programs – help design and conduct ongoing training to improve team skills in coffee knowledge, brewing methods, and service excellence.
  • Ensure operational excellence – manage day-to-day operations with a strong focus on quality, team performance, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of coffee, espresso extraction, alternative brewing methods, and equipment maintenance.
  • Proven track record of managing a barista team and ensuring high levels of performance and quality control.
  • Customer Service and Team Leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in the food and beverage industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a coffee-centric environment.
