Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic IT Tier 1 Support Engineer to join our client's team and provide frontline technical support while managing network infrastructure for their customers in Jakarta. This role requires a combination of IT troubleshooting skills and networking knowledge to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support for end users on software, hardware, and user account issues.
- Manage IT support tickets and ensure timely resolution with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and offer design, configuration, and optimization recommendations.
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks) to ensure secure operations.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and make adjustments to enhance efficiency.
- Assist in network upgrades, expansions, and security improvements.
- Maintain documentation on network configurations, troubleshooting procedures, and support activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT support roles, preferably in customer-facing environments.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with network technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless systems).
- Familiarity with network design, configuration, and troubleshooting in business environments.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, and Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) are a plus.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
