Role Description

As an Estimator (RAB) - MEP at PT Guna Cipta Kreasi, you will play a vital role in the accurate estimation and cost analysis for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all cost estimates align with project specifications and budgets. Your expertise will help drive successful project outcomes by providing detailed and well-researched cost proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) based on project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Analyze project requirements and develop accurate budgets and cost assessments for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Work closely with engineers and project managers to review MEP design and ensure estimates are aligned with project scope and goals.
  • Obtain and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project timelines.
  • Monitor and update cost estimates as project conditions evolve, identifying potential risks or budget overruns.
  • Assist in value engineering efforts to provide cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality or performance.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, budgets, and adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Participate in project bid meetings and discussions to present and explain estimates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Estimator (RAB) specializing in MEP systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in cost estimation software, with a solid understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess project requirements and develop detailed, accurate estimates.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify potential cost overruns and provide solutions to keep projects on budget.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication for effective collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure all estimates are comprehensive and aligned with project goals.
