Project Management Instructor (Part-Time) - Phincon Academy

Location: Offline and/or Online

Day: 5-days Offline Class (1 week per batch) and/or 3 times a week (3 weeks per batch)

Time schedule: 09.00 – 16.00 (Offline) and/or 19.00 - 22.00 (Online)

Period: December 2024 - Mei 2025

Job Responsibilities:

Deliver in-depth lectures covering essential project management principles, including the project life cycle, and key methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), ensuring students gain comprehensive knowledge.

Guide students in practical applications of project management techniques, from project initiation to closure, including detailed project planning, scheduling (Gantt Charts, Critical Path Method), and cost/time estimation.

Mentor students on best practices in managing risks, stakeholders, and resources, ensuring a holistic understanding of real-world project challenges.

Develop and implement fair grading criteria for assignments, challenges, and final projects, providing detailed constructive feedback.

Facilitate practical exercises in portfolio-building activities, such as creating project charters, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), risk management strategies, and procurement plans, to prepare students for industry standards.

Assist students in developing a project management portfolio that showcases their ability to handle the complexities of scope, risk, stakeholder communication, and procurement management.

Lead discussions on project leadership and management, focusing on critical thinking, problem-solving, and best practices in quality management (Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement).

Provide mentorship and guidance based on real-life experiences, ensuring that students can apply theoretical knowledge in professional environments.

Regularly engage with students to ensure they are developing the necessary skills to manage projects effectively in various industry contexts.

Dedicate yourself to the long-term success of your students.

Job Requirements:

3+ years of professional experience in project management, preferably as a Project Manager handling diverse and complex projects.

Strong expertise in project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid), with proven experience in managing the full project life cycle, from initiation to closure.

Practical experience with project planning, risk management, stakeholder communication, and resource management, with a focus on best practices.

Proficient in using project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Gantt Chart software, etc.) to plan, execute, and monitor projects.

Experience in teaching or mentoring project management concepts with a focus on practical application and industry standards.

Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

Ability to mentor students in developing professional portfolios, focusing on comprehensive project documentation, risk analysis, and stakeholder management.

PMP Certification is preferred and will provide a significant advantage.

Commitment to delivering high-quality, hands-on learning experiences.

Willingness to commit as a part-time instructor at Phincon Academy.
