Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloudera Developer with solid business and technical knowledge in Mainframe/Cardlinks, remote commerce, API integration frameworks, collections, and loyalty domains. As part of our Agile team, you will be responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining big data pipelines on the Cloudera platform while integrating with diverse business systems.

This position requires both technical expertise in Cloudera and big data technologies, as well as a strong understanding of legacy systems such as COBOL, CICS, and JCLs, alongside experience in UNIX/LINUX, Oracle, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient and scalable Cloudera data pipelines, integrating with systems such as Mainframe/Cardlinks and remote commerce platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile methodologies to gather and analyze business requirements, and translate them into effective big data solutions.
  • Leverage technical knowledge in COBOL, CICS, EZ+, and JCLs to integrate legacy systems with modern Cloudera-based infrastructures.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using tools like Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Impala.
  • Work with API integration frameworks to ensure seamless communication between systems, enhancing collections and loyalty programs.
  • Implement and maintain data security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processing, performance bottlenecks, and system integration.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all processes and configurations for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Cloudera Developer or in a similar big data development role.
  • Strong experience with Apache Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Impala, and related big data tools.
  • Solid understanding of Mainframe/Cardlinks, remote commerce, collections, and loyalty domains.
  • Technical expertise in COBOL, CICS, EZ+, JCLs, with proven experience in integrating these technologies with modern data platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of UNIX/LINUX, Oracle, SQL, Java, and Unix scripting.
  • Familiarity with API integration frameworks and their application in enterprise environments.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex system integration challenges.
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as Git.
