Job Description:

Support the Bank’s Compliance to manage/ensure the Bank’s risk in sound level by coordinating policies, procedures and guidance of Head Office requirement and Local Regulator, in relation with risk awareness implementation. Support to monitor the submission of Bank’s report to the regulator and arrange the assurance activities as required by Head Office. In addition, acting as compliance business partner to provide advice to the stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To partner with business units, management/leadership team and be a trusted advisor on Core Compliance issues and risks. Provide sound advice/review to business such as new business initiatives, products, and transactions based on OJK requirements and MUFG’s compliance policies and procedures, to support decision making.
  • To deliver Compliance strategy and implementation of a robust and structured Compliance framework.
  • To work with, and cover as necessary, compliance advisers in the team covering Global/Japanese Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Markets, and Support Functions.
  • To engage and influence business and branch management on key compliance risks identified and actions required. Monitor action plans to ensure compliance gaps are closed in a timely and appropriate manner to mitigate compliance risk.
  • To maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations, and support in the development of appropriate and practical solutions and processes that are in line with industry best practice.
  • To work with compliance colleagues in Regional Office and in the region to share knowledge and to provide guidance and advice to business on complex Compliance issues.
  • To support compliance risk assessment process across core compliance themes and conduct risk assessments for new business / products / initiatives.
  • To support and follow-up on compliance related issues raised from various sources e.g. internal audit, thematic review, testing, self-identified, risk assessment etc.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree, with at least 2 years of relevant working experience at a financial institution, regulator, or audit firm.
  • Prior experience in business compliance advisory or regulatory compliance in a global corporate banking environment.
  • Sufficient knowledge of corporate banking business, the relevant products and services including trade finance, loan syndications, treasury, and etc.
  • Good knowledge of OJK regulations, requirements and their application to the business.
  • Excellent analytical skills and demonstrable ability to make sound judgment based on imperfect information.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, including collaborating with compliance colleagues in Regional Office to support the business and deliver the function.
  • Strong communications skills, written and verbal, and ability to manage wide range of stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English both writing and speaking is a must.
