Data Engineer

JOB FUNCTION

Data Engineers are responsible for building, developing and maintaining reliable, efficient and scalable Data Warehouse data pipelines. They also work with other teams, such as analytics and business teams, to identify data needs and optimize data flow in the Data Warehouse. They also assist Senior Data Engineers in developing and resolving issues that occur in data pipelines and data warehouses.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Build, develop, and maintain data pipeline infrastructure and Data Warehouse, ensuring optimal performance and data quality in accordance with agreed SLAs.
2. Monitor data pipelines and the Data Warehouse, proactively identifying and resolving issues to meet the needs of data users.
3. Collaborate with analytics, business teams, and development teams to design data solutions that align with business needs and ensure data requirements are met.
4. Deploy and manage data pipelines, including those for AI Model features utilized by Data Scientists and the Strategy team.
5. Assist Senior Data Engineers in implementing data quality and security monitoring techniques to comply with applicable regulations.
6. Provide data retrieval solutions for users and support in developing strategies to optimize data flow and performance.

Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Science, or related field.
2. At least 1 year of experience in data engineering or related field.
3. Understanding of Data Engineering principles and data architecture.
4. Experience implementing data solutions in data pipeline architecture and/or data warehouses.
5. Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
7. Knowledge of data modeling in Data Warehouses is preferred.
8. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Alicloud, GCP, AWS) is preferred.
9. Understanding of Machine Learning Engineering is a plus
