Job Summary:

The Quality Control Specialist will ensure that all products meet the required quality standards before they reach the customer. This role involves inspecting fabrics, garments, and accessories during various stages of production to guarantee adherence to specifications and quality guidelines in the fashion and textile industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough quality checks on raw materials (fabrics, trims, etc.) and finished products (garments, accessories).
  • Inspect production lines to identify defects and issues in manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure consistent quality and minimize defects.
  • Review product specifications and ensure compliance with brand standards, legal requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Document and report inspection results and work with vendors to correct quality issues.
  • Conduct random sample checks, measurements, and tests (e.g., colorfastness, tensile strength).
  • Manage and maintain quality records, reports, and corrective action plans.
  • Assist in setting quality benchmarks and providing feedback to suppliers.
  • Stay updated on the latest quality control processes and industry best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience in quality control/assurance within the fashion or textile industry.
  • Strong knowledge of fabric properties, garment construction, and textile production processes.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to detect small defects or deviations in fabric, stitching, and design.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of textile testing methods (e.g., abrasion, shrinkage) and garment production processes.
  • Analytical Skills: Capable of analyzing trends in defects and proposing preventive measures.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly identify and rectify quality issues on the production floor.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with production teams and suppliers.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Work Enviroment:

  • The role may require travel to manufacturing sites for inspection purposes.
  • The ability to work in production facilities, occasionally under time-sensitive conditions.
