Job Description:

  • Application & Service Management: Setup, manage and maintain Shopee product/middleware/database applications and services. Learning and understanding the mechanism of every application component, and promoting product scalability, stability and performance
  • System Monitoring & Incident Response: Monitor system/middleware/database performance and reliability, respond to incidents, and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
  • Deployment: Perform regular and ad-hoc server-side deployments
  • Automation & Tools Development: Design and develop automated technical operation platform to streamline operations, reduce manual intervention, and improve efficiency.
  • Capacity Planning: Manage Capacity and Resource, ensure that our infrastructure can scale to meet future demands.
  • Stress Testing: Responsible for the full-chain stress test to enhance the performance and remove redundancy of applications.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure systems are secure and compliant with industry standards and regulations. Implement security best practices and participate in security audits and reviews.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related fields
  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
  • Extensive and hands-on knowledge with Linux operating system (Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.)
  • Knowledge of networking principles. (TCP/IP, DNS, firewall, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the programming languages: Bash, Python, Go
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts. Willingness to learn database management system ( e.g., MySQL)
  • Passionate about technical operations of internet products, Linux OS and OpenSource
