Job Description:

PT. Bukit Baiduri Energi, a leading coal mining company in Kutai Kartanegara, is seeking an experienced and driven Port Manager to oversee the efficient operations of our coal terminal and port facility. This position is critical to ensuring the smooth and safe handling of coal shipments, meeting international standards of port management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all port activities including loading, unloading, and stockpile management.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security regulations.
  • Oversee daily port operations to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate with shipping companies, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless logistics.
  • Implement best practices in inventory control, material handling, and transportation.
  • Manage budget planning, resource allocation, and maintenance of port facilities.
  • Monitor and improve port performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop strategic plans to enhance operational capacity and handle increasing coal shipment volumes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Port Management, Maritime, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in port management, ideally within the mining or energy sector.
  • Strong understanding of coal handling, stockpile management, and shipping processes.
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong communication and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with port management systems and logistics software.
  • Knowledge of local and international regulations regarding port operations and shipping.
