Responsibilities:
Warehouse
- Determines space requirements for storage and schedules delivery and distribution of products, parts, and accessories to achieve distribution objectives and meet customer requirements.
Inventory or Material Control
- Controls inventory of raw materials and work-in-process.
Planning/Scheduling
- Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules.
Logistics
- Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between points of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements.
Traffic/Transportation
- Plans, schedules, and routes inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments of freight, using knowledge of postal regulations, tariffs, and company policy.
Employee Development & Management
- Train and provide development opportunities for staff. Ensure annual goals are complete and communicated. Ensure Global Performance Management System is up-to-date and regular feedback is provided to staff members.
Operations
- Provide project management and Supply Chain, Materials Management, and Logistics leadership.
- Accountable for departmental budget and project deliverables. Secure and allocate appropriate resources and manage projects to meet Departmental goals and achieve financial objectives.
- Lead cross-functional team on projects. Communicate and work with all levels of the organization. Manage a large multi-function program or a set of projects. Interact with colleagues, suppliers and customers.
Strategic Transformation and Long-term Strategy Development
Qualifications
- 6+ years Operational experience with team leader experience preferred.
- Skilled in analyzing and drawing information for daily operational needs and improvement for the team.
- Skilled in scheduling and planning, budgeting and control. Knowledge of systems.
- Skilled in designing and implementing operation improvement strategies for safety, cost quality, training, inventory and services.
- Strong ability to manage, coach and develop a diverse team of individuals performing a
- variety of tasks.
- Experience leading continuous improvement efforts. Familiarity with ELS Operating
- Principles.
- Strong customer focus, communication, planning and coordination skills.
- Ability to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions and take appropriate action.
