Position Overview:
Design engineers work with colleagues and clients in construction and industrial settings to design safe and efficient formwork and scaffolding systems that meet industry and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide scaffolding and formwork design solutions for various projects.
- Ensure all designs comply with the latest codes of practice, regulations, and company policies.
- Use engineering expertise to assess the structural integrity of scaffolding and temporary works structures.
- Identify and mitigate hazards during the design process, proposing effective safety measures to reduce risks.
- Conduct site surveys, gather and evaluate site data, collaborate with clients and site teams, and represent the company in design and site meetings.
- Apply practical knowledge of scaffolding erection, usage, and dismantling, as well as its key functions in various industries, to enhance service delivery, processes, and standards.
- Accurate and timely delivery of scaffold design requirements.
- Effective collaboration with other departments.
- Diploma or degree in Civil, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in the construction industry, with a preference for experience in formwork and scaffolding.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Fluent in English.
