Role Description
An IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating technology projects within an organization, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet specified goals. They manage project scope, timelines, and resources, communicate effectively with stakeholders, mitigate risks, and ensure quality standards are met. The role requires strong leadership, technical understanding, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, all while aligning project outcomes with business objectives and organizational strategies.
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of information technology and banking
- Bachelors Degree: A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is often required.
- Project Management Tools: Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, Asana, or others.
- Collaboration Tools: Knowledge of tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom for efective team communication.
- Budgeting Tools: Proficiency with financial software like Excel, SAP, or other budgeting tools.
- Project Management Experience: Typically, 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the IT sector.
- Experience in Specific Methodologies: Such as Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Team Management Experience: Experience in managing cross-functional teams, often across different geographic locations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle unexpected issues and find effective solutions.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of IT systems, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and technical aspects of the projects they manage.
- Project Management Skills: Proficiency in project planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and environments.
- Time Management: Effective at prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Negotiation: Skills to negotiate with stakeholders, vendors, and team members.
