Role Description

As an Estimator (RAB) - MEP at PT Guna Cipta Kreasi, you will play a vital role in the accurate estimation and cost analysis for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in construction projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure that all cost estimates align with project specifications and budgets. Your expertise will help drive successful project outcomes by providing detailed and well-researched cost proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed estimates for MEP systems (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) based on project plans, specifications, and site conditions.
  • Analyze project plans, volume estimates, materials, labor, and other project documentation required for job execution to estimate costs.
  • Create the bill of quantity (BQ) based on working drawings, field technical data, and technical specifications used in the construction project.
  • Convert working drawings into document formats such as Work Plans and Technical Requirements (RKS), Cost Estimation Plans (RAB), and Volume Lists (Bill of Quantity/BQ)
  • Work closely with engineers and project managers to review MEP design and ensure estimates are aligned with project scope and goals.
  • Obtain and analyze quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project timelines.
  • Monitor and update cost estimates as project conditions evolve, identifying potential risks or budget overruns.
  • Assist in value engineering efforts to provide cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality or performance.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, budgets, and adjustments throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Estimator (RAB) specializing in MEP systems.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software, with a solid understanding of MEP systems and construction processes.
  • Strong ability to assess project requirements and develop detailed, accurate estimates.
  • Ability to identify potential cost overruns and provide solutions to keep projects on budget.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Keen eye for detail to ensure all estimates are comprehensive and aligned with project goals.
