This position reports to

Operations &Solutions Manager-Excitation

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be serving as ABB Excitation commissioning engineer with low to medium complexity. Ensuring completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

The work model for the role is: #onsite

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Business in Jakarta, Indonesia.

  • Contributing to planning and implementation of commissioning activities. Supporting and coordinating the installation / commissioning activities with the Installation Supervisor / Site Manager
  • Participating in internal project review meetings and providing inputs on commissioning activities
  • Coordinating site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification. Identifying and recommending new effective solution to meet business and customer needs.
  • Providing relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with customer besides giving feedbacks to the organization to apply lessons learned process. Supporting continuous improvement of project process/product/system design.


Qualifications For The Role

  • Degree in Engineering related disciplines
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in Excitation & Electrical Systems
  • knowledge in ABB Excitation (UNITROL) & ABB Electrical Systems
  • Good understanding of Excitation Systems, MV & LV Switchgears, Transformers & Protection Relays
  • Experience in Maintenance / Testing & Commissioning / FAT / SAT in Excitation & Electrical Systems
  • Preferable working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical plant/ Offshore/ Power & Water Industries
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Certification on ABB excitation system commissioning will be an added advantage
