About The Deputy Chief Financial Officer Role

The Deputy CFO will be a key member of the finance leadership team, responsible for overseeing a large finance team and managing critical financial functions.

  • Oversee and lead a large finance team, ensuring effective performance management, professional development, and alignment with organizational goals; foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance department.
  • Ensure compliance with local, regional, and national tax regulations and laws; Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns and ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports in compliance with Indonesian accounting standards and regulations; Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
  • Oversee the management and reporting of fixed assets, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation; Ensure accurate valuation and recording of fixed assets in the company’s financial systems.
  • Supervise the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments; Implement and maintain robust controls to prevent errors and fraud in the accounts payable process.

The role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership abilities, keen attention to detail, and a strong background in financial management.

Skills And Experience Needed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial or senior leadership position.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indonesian financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience managing large finance teams and overseeing complex financial functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior management, external auditors, and other stakeholders.
