Overview:

NLR Indonesia is seeking an experienced External Consultant to conduct an assessment on the impact of climate change on Persons Affected by Leprosy. This assessment aims to explore how climate change affects the health, well-being, and socio-economic lives of Persons Affected by Leprosy and to identify adaptive measures to enhance their resilience. The findings from this assessment will inform the development of more effective mitigation and adaptation strategies to protect Persons Affected by Leprosy from the adverse impacts of climate change in the future.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

a. Minimum of 5 years of experience in conducting social and environmental research, particularly in the field of climate change, and project/program evaluation, primarily using qualitative methods.

b. Strong understanding of climate change issues and neglected tropical diseases, particularly leprosy.

c. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a deep understanding of local cultures.

d. Flexible, responsive to changes, and open to feedback.

e. Excellent report writing skills in both Indonesian and English.

f. Jakarta-based candidates are preferred.
