About the Company

PT Tifa Mutual Finance Corporation was founded in 1989 by PT Dwi Satrya Utama ('DSU') with an initial capital of Rp 5 billion. It started as a financing company offering lease financing, consumer/productive financing, and accounts receivables factoring. In 1996, the company became a Joint Venture, with Tan Chong Credit Pte Ltd (TCC) Singapore, a subsidiary of Tan Chong Motor Group (TCMG) from Malaysia, entering as a major shareholder, with a 48% stake in the company. The company changed its name to PT Tifa Finance in 2000 and expanded its network and business, forming a Shariah Business Unit in 2011 and offering its shares to the public in an Initial Public Offering (IPO). In 2012, the company recorded total assets of Rp1 trillion and expanded its network with the opening of several representative offices in various regions of Indonesia. In 2020, the company was officially acquired by The Korea Development Bank ('KDB'), resulting in a change in ownership structure, with KDB owning 80.65% of the company's shares, DSU owning 15%, and the rest owned by the public. The company changed its name to PT KDB Tifa Finance Tbk. This acquisition brings a strong commitment from KDB as the new controlling shareholder and a positive outlook for the company's future business development. The company continues to enhance its technology infrastructure and corporate culture to meet customers' needs and expectations. As a publicly listed company, PT KDB Tifa Finance Tbk has demonstrated its ability to improve its business performance while upholding good corporate governance principles, maintaining investor confidence. With KDB as its controlling shareholder, the company can contribute optimally to Indonesia's economic development and become a leading financing company in the country.
